Scalpel: AI assisted inventory management, shown on a tablet

Scalpel

We developed a set of graphic materials that clearly communicate Scalpel’s role as an AI-driven inventory management platform for pre-hospital medical facilities. The visuals emphasize system reliability, data accuracy, and operational efficiency through clean layouts, structured typography, and a precise visual hierarchy. Infographics and interface mockups illustrate how Scalpel’s perpetual inventory solution tracks supply levels in real time, reduces waste, and ensures critical items remain available.

Platform UI Design

We designed Scalpel’s platform interface around the way clinical teams actually work. Clear product pages, simple ordering flows and a calm, structured layout turn complex inventory data into quick, confident decisions, on a tablet at the shelf or at the desk.

Presentation Deck

Scalpel’s presentation deck is intentionally designed to mirror the chaos it’s trying to eliminate, contrasting clean layouts and disciplined structure against the reality of manual, error-prone materials management in healthcare facilities. Problem slides lead with operational pain: lost inventory, expired supplies, and staff time wasted, using clear visual signals that make the cost of inaction unmistakable. This sharp, systems-first design reinforces the company’s value as an automation layer that brings visibility, control, and confidence to environments where uncertainty directly impacts both patients and profit.

The costs of poor materials management: loss, overpaying, poor health outcomes, reputation loss and high labor costs

The Problem

Poor materials management kills patients and bankrupts facilities

The Problem Exists Across Every Medical Facility

For Now We are Focused on ASC’s and PAC’s

Ambulatory surgery centers: 9,100 facilities, $15B supply spend. Post-acute care: 20,000 facilities, $24B supply spend
